Adoption and Fostering

Fostering for Milton Keynes Council

For some children and young people we work with it will be necessary for them to be placed in the care of Milton Keynes Council. This means that they cannot remain living with their family and need to be cared for by approved foster carer(s); this might be for short periods or sometimes on a more permanent basis.

There are a number of reasons why children in Milton Keynes are placed in care; there may be a crisis in the family, ill health, relationship difficulties or bereavement. For some children they will have experienced abuse and because of this, need to be protected. We will always do our best to keep brothers and sisters together where siblings need to be fostered.
