English & Maths GCSE

Please note that if you are interested in enrolling on English or Maths GCSE you will need to come to the Stony Stratford ACE Centre for a skills check before you can enrol. These sessions will start on the Monday 9th August and will run to the Wednesday 8th September and are on at the following times during the week:

Monday 13.00-16.30
Tuesday 09.00-13.30
Wednesday 16.30-18.30

and on the following Saturdays

Saturday 21st August 10.00-13.00
Saturday 4th September 10.00-13.00

Enrolment sessions will take roughly 45 minutes

Welcome to Milton Keynes Council Adult Education

Adult Continuing Education (ACE) is part of Milton Keynes Council. We offer a wide variety of learning opportunities to everyone over 16. This year we will welcome more than 7000 students at more than 50 venues in Milton Keynes.

Adults return to learning for many different reasons and we offer courses for leisure such as creative ,languages and computer courses to suit all levels as well as courses leading to examinations such as GCSE's and A Levels in subjects such as English and Maths to name a few.

If you are not sure which course is right for you, speak to one of our staff before you enrol and they will be able to point you in the right direction.

English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)

These courses are for those whose first language is not English and who are living and using English in the UK.

Most courses lead to a national qualification and include aspects of citizenship.
As courses are offered at a range of levels from Entry 1 (beginner) to Level 2 (advanced),you will need to come for a skills check to decide which is the best course for you.

English & Maths Skills for Life

Adult Continuing Education - Get on Logo
These free courses are for learners who do not already have a GCSE A*-C, CSE Grade 1 or an O Level in English or Maths.

All courses lead to a national qualification. As courses are offered at a range of levels from beginner to GCSE you will need to come for a skills check to decide which is the best course for you.

National Certificates at Level 2 are now accepted by many employers as equivalent to a GCSE A* - C.
