Wolverton Station Travel Plan
27th February 2013
Development of the Wolverton Station Travel Plan has been running along side the construction of the new Wolverton Station building.
The travel plan is all about managing travel generated by the station, with the aim of reducing its environmental impact and encouraging more travel by rail. This typically involves support for walking, cycling, buses and better car park management.
The travel plan was produced for the Wolverton Travel Plan steering group by Transport Regeneration Limited. Stakeholders on the project are: rail operator London Midland, bus company Arriva, Milton Keynes Council, Wolverton & Greenleys Town Council, New Bradwell Parish Council, Stony Stratford Parish Council and Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership.

Milton Keynes is currently improving its transport system via involvement in the EU funded QUEST project. This will evaluate our approach to managing urban mobility through the use of an audit procedure, together with in-depth discussions with relevant stakeholders. Based on the results of the QUEST audit, a tailor made improvement programme will be recommended to us.
By being selected for this prestigious project, Milton Keynes will be part of an international network of cities that all have the same interest - to develop and improve mobility policy and travel planning in a more sustainable way.
QUEST is funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme. To find out more about the project, please click here: www.quest-project.eu
