You do not need to be an 'Approved Supplier'

Milton Keynes Council has two e-tendering portals (In-tend) one for the Council and one for MKC Schools, these portals enable suppliers to attach themselves to any of our projects and express an interest without being an approved supplier.

The benefit of the e-tendering system is that it is open and transparent and no matter what size your company you have the opportunity to participate in any of our published tenders and work with the Council.

All of the Council’s tenders valued over £5000 will be advertised via the e-tendering portal.

For Contracts over £100,000 suppliers will be expected to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) as part of the tendering process and pass all elements before being awarded any tender.

For contracts between £5000 - £99,999 suppliers are not required to complete a PQQ but will be expected to complete section 3 of the ‘Invitation to Quote letter’, (Business Evaluation Questions) and supply documents upon request.

Prior to the commencement of any work, service or supply you must be issued with a Purchase Order Number.

If you have not received a Purchase Order Number please contact the MKC Officer who is responsible for the contract.

Please note that invoices will not be paid unless the Purchase Order number is quoted.
