School Admissions – Secondary Transfer 2013

Friday 1 March 2013

A record 85% of applications for a new secondary school place in Milton Keynes were made online this year – an increase of 11% from last year’s figure of 76.5%. This has also led to a continued reduction in the amount of booklets and paper application forms required.

All online applicants will have received an email on Friday morning (1 March) confirming the place offered to their child. All applicants, including those who completed a paper application, should receive a letter confirming the secondary place offered by the weekend.

85.6% of pupils moving up to secondary school in Milton Keynes this autumn received their first preference of secondary school, which is the same figure as last year. 96% of pupils were allocated one of the three preferences stated by their parents compared to last year’s figure of 97%.
