What are Direct Payments?
Direct Payments are cash payments paid to you by Milton Keynes Council, to buy your own support to meet your assessed needs.
You can use your Direct Payment very creatively to meet these needs.
Direct Payments give you more choice, flexibility and control over the services and care you receive.
How do you get a Direct Payments?
To make a request you need to get in touch with your social worker or our Customer Liaison Officers in
ASCAT (Adult Social Care Access Team).

assessment of your needs you should contact
ASCAT and ask for a community care assessment.

What does Direct Payments involve?
Receiving a Direct Payment will give you control over how the money allocated to you for use is spent.
The money is for you to use flexibly to arrange services/care which have been identified in your care plan.
