A revised register of electors was published on 1 February 2008. You can check to see if your name has been included on the register by phoning 01908 254706 or e-mailing elections@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
You can complete a form to be registered throughout the year and your name will be added to the register in between two and six weeks according to the deadlines shown on the schedule below.
Milton Keynes Council covers an area of 30,869 hectares and is made up of 23 areas called wards.

Eligibility to vote - electoral registration
In order to register you need to be a British or Commonwealth citizen, or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland. If you are a citizen of a European Union country, other than Britain or Ireland, you can register to vote for local government and European Parliamentary elections only. For someone to become a Milton Keynes Councillor, they must be nominated for election. Whether standing at a full Council election or at a by election, a person must be suitably qualified to become a candidate for election as a Councillor.
