Local Air Quality Management

The 5th round of review and assessment has been completed; the Updating and Screening Assessment 2012 concluded that there is no requirement to proceed to a Detailed Assessment for any prescribed pollutant. All reports are available via the links below.


The Updating and Screening Assessment 2012 contains a summary of new air quality monitoring data collected during the years 2009-2011. Data from previous years have been included for comparison to enable any trends to be identified.

The Progress Report 2011 includes all data recorded in 2010.

The Further Assessment of Olney which was submitted to Defra in July 2009 has been approved and is available via the link below.

Following on from the Further Assessment of Olney the final Olney Action Plan of October 2012 contains measures designed to contribute towards reducing the annual mean nitrogen dioxide concentration within the AQMA. (See links below).

The next scheduled local air quality management report is a Progress Report due to be submitted to Defra by the end of April 2013.
