Gambling - ChipsThe Gambling Act 2005 came into force on 1 September 2007. The Gambling Act 2005 has transferred all responsibility for licensing gambling premises from the Licensing Justices to Licensing Authorities. Licensing Authorities are also responsible for a number of different permits, as well as temporary and occasional use notices. Introduction

Milton Keynes Council Casino Project – Draft Application Pack for consultation

Milton Keynes Council, as the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005, proposes to issue a premises licence for a large casino within the next twelve months. Our draft application pack has now been assembled and we hereby invite any comments to be made on the pack before the formal process begins. The consultation period is six weeks and all responses must be received by 15th September 2010.
