Age UK MK - walking befriending

Age UK Milton Keynes are supporting older people who would like to benefit from regular exercise but feel nervous going out by themselves. The Age UK MK volunteers will walk and talk at a pace and distance which is right for you.

Nordic walking

Nordic walking was originally used by elite cross country skiers as a way to keep in shape in the summer. Now it has grown into a popular way for people to gain fitness, tone up, lose weight and improve their health.

Nordic walking is suitable for all ages and ability levels. Poles are used to propel you along and it is practiced on flat surface with a Nordic walking Instructor ensuring you are walking at a pace right for you. Find out more about nordic walking here
