Artist in Residence

We are piloting co-locating artists with schools in a mutually beneficial exchange of time versus space.  Artists are currently being invited to apply for space with more details available in the Artist in Residence Open Call (PDF, 215KB) document

Support for Schools

There is national support from Arts Council England supported organisation Artswork who work to enhance the number of Artsmark Schools and Arts Awards completed by young people.   Also locally numerous arts & heritage organisations offer both educational visits to their buildings and workshops in schools.  Artswork are creating an online database of organisation which can be of use to schools when looking for people to work with: Connecting with Cultures

If you are a school and would like to explore how you could engage with artists please drop me an email: arts@milton-keynes.gov.uk

Culture Challenge

Schools are being offered vouchers to cover the cost of them working with artists.  Artists can be selected by the school via www.culturechallenge.co.uk so if you're an artist working with young people in MK please make sure you're listed on there.
