Public Safety at Events
Milton Keynes is a modern, forward looking city which prides itself on the many fantastic and exciting events provided for MK Citizens and visitors. The 50th birthday in 2017 has provided a back drop for many new community lead events as well as the expansion of more established and familiar ones.
Ensuring that these events are well organised and safe is a vital element for enjoyment and success.
The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) can be an invaluable source of advice and guidance, providing event managers a single point of contact for the Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance, and various council departments such as Environmental Health and Licensing.
If you are holding a public event you should consider whether you need to inform the SAG. Please download the SAG Guidance Document (PDF, 294KB) and refer to the Presentation Slides (PDF, 677KB) to determine if you would benefit from SAG advice.
You can notify the SAG of your event using the SAG online notification form. Simply follow the link and work your way through the form, completing the sections that apply to your planned event. When you have completed the form, read the Councils data protection policy and return back to the form to submit it to the SAG. SAG online notification form
