Milton Keynes Council Street Trading
The Milton Keynes Council regulates street trading under powers adopted from the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982. Streets are designated 'Consent Streets' and 'Prohibited Streets'.
Consent Streets allow trading with a valid consent permit, obtainable from the Council. Please review the list of Consent Streets and the street trading consent application form:

Street trading consent carries a fee of £252.00 for one hour of trading. Your application will be subject to a 21 day consultation period, then if granted you will be able to apply for further hours through the variation arrangements. For example if you wish to trade for 5 hours a day it will cost you £1,260 for the year:

Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982
Is the licence granted if you do not hear from the Licensing Authority? - (Tacit Consent)
No. It is in the public interest that the authority must process your application before it can be granted. If you have not heard from the local authority within the target completion period of 56 days, please
contact us.
You
must contact the following departments, agencies or land owner to ensure you have permission to trade on any particular piece of land:

- Parks Trust - 01908 255374
Any other street in Milton Keynes, will not be regulated under Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982. However you must ensure that you have the permission of the land owner.
You will also have to complete a Registration of a Food Business Establishment form:

Environmental Health Department.
Finally should you wish to trade after 11pm you will have to apply for a
Premises Licence. This would allow you to sell food at a particular location for a determined period of time. Please contact the licensing department should you require further details on this.
