Community Hot Meals Service (Meals on Wheels)

If you, a relative or friend are over 18 and not not able to cook a meal Community Hot Meals (Meals on Wheels) may be a solution. The service can provide a range of meals to meet dietary, medical and / or religious needs, these include: diabetic, gluten-free, halal and kosher meals. The food can also be plated and cut up ready to eat if you need this.

Meals can be arranged for short periods or on a more permanent basis, and if booked early enough they can start from the same day you call.

The cost is currently £5.19 per meal.

Milton Keynes Council has a contract with www.apetito.co.uk to provide this service on it's behalf.

The service can be organised by contacting Adult Social Care to arrange an assessment to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria. Please note that if you call on behalf of someone else, we will have to speak with the person receiving the meals to gain their consent.

When delivering meals, Apetito act as the eyes and ears of Milton Keynes Council and will contact us if they feel someone may be in need of some help. This gives peace of mind if you or a family member would otherwise be alone for a whole day.
