Health and Wellbeing Board
Health and Wellbeing Boards are a key element of the forthcoming Health and Social Care Act.
Through the provisions in the legislation, this will bring together commissioners of services across the NHS, public health, social care and children’s services, and build on the current strong local partnerships and joint working across health and social care within Milton Keynes.
The Health and Social Care Bill, which is now law, sets out a requirement for shadow Health and Wellbeing Boards to be in place in each local authority, and Milton Keynes Council has provided strategic leadership in developing a Shadow Heath and Wellbeing Board.
