Current Consultations:
People are living longer and have higher expectations of maintaining an independent lifestyle well into their late seventies and eighties. The percentage of older people in our communities is increasing and the numbers of people living with dementia will double in the next 20 years. In Milton Keynes this means the number of people we will need to support could increase from about 5,000 to about 7500 within the next 5 years.
Under the Licensing Act 2003 Milton Keynes Council as the Licensing Authority are required to produce a statement of Licensing Policy for a three year period. The current Policy must be reviewed before January 2011 so therefore we are in the process of producing a new Policy Document. Before being able to determine the final policy the Licensing Authority have produced a draft document which is currently under consultation.

Milton Keynes Council is currently consulting on proposed changes to the layout of Tanfield Square and wants views and comments from people that use the square, on options for change that have been produced. Three options for change have been produced which can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
Milton Keynes Council, as the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005, proposes to issue a premises licence for a large casino within the next twelve months. Our draft application pack has now been assembled and we hereby invite any comments to be made on the pack before the formal process begins.
The Bletchley Conservation Area Review (Consultation Draft) has been published for an eight week period from 12/7/10 to 6/9/10. The draft review sets out in detail the special character of the conservation area which includes Bletchley Park, the famed home of the Government Code and Cypher School during the Second World War.
