Implications of VAT Reduction on Parking Charges

With the exception of the Theatre multi-storey car park (located on Marlborough Gate) all of the parking owned by Milton Keynes Council for which a charge is levied is classified as on street parking, meaning that VAT is not (and has never been) payable. Therefore, there are no implications to the recent VAT reduction. A new tariff structure for the Theatre multi-storey car park is currently being considered. Please see the below press release from the British Parking Association on the recent VAT reduction.
