Outdoor Education Service

Caldecotte Xperience provides exciting challenging adventure activities for young people and adults. Activities include a range of water sports, climbing, caving, archery and team building. Caldecotte Xperience also provides residential bunkroom accommodation for up to 30 people and camping for up to 100 people. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is also available, at all levels, at the Caldecotte Xperience.

These are held during term time and provide a variety of activities for all ages and abilities. Youth Clubs / Courses

Milton Keynes Junior Rowing Club is an up and coming group of 8 - 18 year olds who are looking for the fun and excitement of competitive sport at all levels. Sessions are held the water at Caldecotte North Lake - and will run no matter what the weather conditions. Junior Rowing Club

In 2007 MKC commissioned an extensive review of its Outdoor Education service that includes Caldecotte Xperience and Longrigg Residential Centre. On January 15th 2008 MKC cabinet agreed to adopt the recommendations of the review and its associated action plan. Review of the Milton Keynes Outdoor Education Service

Longrigg Residential Centre provides residential opportunities for young people from Milton Keynes. It also offers developmental training courses for companies from within Milton Keynes or outside. The centre is a non-profit making organisation. Longrigg Residential Centre

Caldecotte Youth Sailability is part of The Caldecotte Xperience Outdoor Education Centre, which has been established for 12 years and is a partnership between Milton Keynes Council and the registered charity Action4Youth. Caldecotte Youth Sailability
