Local Strategic Partnership

The Local Strategic Partnership is a high level partnership bringing together a wide range of public, private, voluntary and community interests.
Its aim is to promote the sustainable, social, economic and environmental well being of the people of Milton Keynes.
Meetings of the Local Strategic partnership are held on a quarterly basis and are open to the public.

The partnership toolkit contains useful information and resources to help partnerships develop good governance arrangements and improve performance.
The toolkit also answers questions such as 'What is a Partnership?' and provides a quick guide to partnership governance.

Our Handbook for Change

The Local Strategic Partnership has refreshed the Milton Keynes Sustainable Community Strategy alongside the new Local Area Agreement (LAA).

Consultation and discussions with a broad range of stakeholders were held to find out about the key priorities. These were considered together with evidence from data and surveys to form a new set of action plans incorporating the list of LAA national indicators which will deliver the Sustainable Community Strategy vision.

The successful delivery of the strategy and it's vision will be dependent upon the commitment and engagement of all partners whether they are from public, private, voluntary or community sectors. in the delivery of the Sustainable Community Strategy Action Plans.

The final LAA was submitted to government on 6th June 2008.

These meetings are open to the general public so come along and listen to the debate. They usually start at 5pm.

Climate change is a very significant subject that is increasingly being discussed, it was debated by the LSP at a special meeting in November 2007. Climate Change

The Local Strategic Partnership has published its Annual Performance Report for 2007/08, Annex 1, Annex 3 Annex 2,
Annex 4, Annex 5 to LSP Annual Performance Report 2007 _(154K)

The report has been extended by 3 months so that it coincides with the data collection period on the Local Area Agreement. The report provides an overview of the work the LSP has undertaken during 2007/08, as well as progress against the Community indicators and Action Plans and LAA indicators.
