The Milton Keynes Local Strategic Partnership currently has 35 member organisation providing representation from Delivery Agents, Strategic Partnerships, and Representative Bodies across the city.

Its vision is to be a representative forum that works collaboratively to position the Arts and Heritage sector as a key strategic contributor to the community of Milton Keynes. It aims to represent, develop and promote Arts and Heritage in Milton Keynes.

Business Link is an easy to use business support, advice and information service funded by Government and delivered by the Regional Development Agencies dedicated to helping businesses develop and progress by ensuring they can quickly and easily locate and benefit from the broadest range of private, public and voluntary business support services. It offers advice on all aspects of running and starting up a business, including advice on funding, grants, training, business planning, marketing, human resources and payroll, taxation, information technology, sales & marketing, international trade and legislation.

Children’s Trust
Milton Keynes Children's Trust is a partnership between local organisations which provide services for children, young people and families, including council, schools, NHS, police and voluntary agencies.
By working together in partnership, these organisations commit to a common vision for improving services for children, young people and families. The Children’s Trust Board has responsibility for ensuring strategic leadership to improve outcomes for children and young people, and a strong performance framework to monitor progress.

The aim of the Partnership is to improve the health and well-being of every local community and ensure that health and social care services reflect their needs and priorities. The partnership enables partners to work together to tackle health inequalities and to deliver better services for the local area.

Jobcentre Plus is a government agency supporting people of working age from welfare into work, and helping employers to fill their vacancies.
They are part of the department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and play a major role in supporting the Department’s aim to ‘promote opportunity and independence for all through modern, customer-focused services’. Jobcentre Plus aims to provide work for those who can and support for those who cannot. It helps disadvantaged people into work as a route out of poverty; provides financial support as a safety net for people of working age while they are out of work, addresses inequalities of opportunity, protects the integrity of the benefit system and works with employers and partners to address market failure in the labour market.

Milton Keynes College plays a core and pivotal role in the learning landscape of the city. The College serves the dynamic and thriving community of Milton Keynes, the largest of the new towns with a population in excess of 230,000 and 130,000 jobs.
The College is one of the fastest growing further education institutions in the country. It has doubled in size in the last 5 years and fully expects to continue this exceptional growth in the coming years. The College opened its redeveloped Bletchley Campus in 2002, its new Construction Centre in 2005 and new University Centre in 2008. In order to continue to meet the demand of the city, the College’s curriculum includes vocational programmes for 14-16 students, the most comprehensive range of 16-18 provision in the city, extensive part-time provision, community-based Skills for Life including ‘Workability’ projects with Job Centre Plus, growing Higher Education provision in collaboration with local universities and significant work with employers. The duty to produce a Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Area Agreement rests with the Council. However in fulfilling this duty the Council must seek to achieve collective consensus through the LSP on the content of these documents

The Chamber represents the interests of the local businesses to local, national and European policy makers. The Chamber's overall aim is to ensure that the region's track record as one of Europe's fastest growing economies is sustained and to act as the voice of local business.
The Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce is recognised nationally as one of the most dynamic and successful Chambers in the country; a member organisation 'working together to help build winning businesses'. Membership is as broad and varied as the businesses in the area, and accounts for over 60% of the local workforce.

MK Council of Faiths
The Council of Faiths (CoF) is a representative council of formally elected faith leaders from the nine largest faiths in Milton Keynes. These are Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Bahia and Jain. It provides an established forum for matters of shared concern. CoF seeks to promote community cohesion throughout the Borough's faith communities, build capacity for the Milton Keynes religious community to engage with formal decision making structures and initiate programmes that will further the well-being of faith communities in Milton Keynes. In June 2006 The Council of Faiths was invited to become a full member of the MK Local Strategic Partnership and now plays an active role in their work and business throughout the city.

The partnership was established formally on 1 January 2004 and is the result of the merger of the long-standing MK Economic Partnership and the MK Lifelong Learning Partnership. Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust
The Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust (PCT) was formed in October 2000. It is responsible for commissioning (buying all health care), improving health and tackling health inequalities and also provides a range of services, (older people, children, mental health and learning disabilities). The PCT’s main contracts are with Milton Keynes Hospital and with 28 GP practices. The PCT is also responsible for contracts with all local pharmacists and dental practices. The PCT has a funding allocation of £200m and employs 1300 staff, (mostly clinicians). The overall aim of Milton Keynes PCT is to achieve ‘Longer, happier, healthier lives for all’.

Milton Keynes Parks Trust
Milton Keynes Parks Trust is the independent charity that cares for many of the city’s parks, river valleys, woodlands and lakes, as well as the landscaped areas alongside the main roads. This adds up to 4,500 acres - about 20 percent of the new city area.
The trust was set up in 1992 to ensure that these unique assets were managed and protected forever. Along with a 999-year lease on the parks, the trust was endowed with commercial properties that generate income to finance the work. The trust is entirely self-financing and is not funded through council tax or business rates.

MKCVO aims to develop and support community activity in Milton Keynes, it is a registered charity with over 25 years of experience supporting and promoting voluntary and community sector groups. It is a membership organisation, which provides practical support services and a co-ordinated voice on local issues. The aim of MKCVO is to strengthen local voluntary organisations and community groups by providing services and a strong voice on policy issues. The team of volunteers and staff at MKCVO share one goal: to help Milton Keynes’ voluntary and community sector meet the challenges of the 21st century.

The Milton Keynes Community Foundation is a local independent grant-making charity and one of 60 Community Foundations in the United Kingdom. It develops local philanthropy and uses the funds raised to support local voluntary and community sector activity by providing grant making programmes so directing money to meet the needs of the community. The Foundation supports a wide range of projects that benefit local people; including those with special needs and other disabilities, children and youth groups, older people and projects that develop the artistic and cultural life of the City. The Foundation has a property company - MK Community Properties Ltd. The property portfolio is managed to benefit the local voluntary and community sector by providing a wide range of accommodation at subsidised rents.

Age UK Milton Keynes works with and for older people to make a real and positive difference that contributes to their wellbeing and quality of life. Change is needed to celebrate ageing and transform people’s later lives for the better, using resources effectively and appropriately. We provide over 20 different services, activities and products and remain dedicated to the needs of older people and for those that care for them.
As a charity, we rely on funders and donations from the public to support our work. We have 6 shops and 3 furniture stores, generating vital income and allowing us to meet the needs of local older people.

Q:alliance is a registered charity which provides and enables information, support, representation and fun for all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transgender (LGBT) people who live, work or play in Milton Keynes.
We work with other organisations to make their current services more inclusive of LGBT people and their needs as well as working to make agencies in the city more aware of issues that may affect their LGBT clients. Our direct services currently include a specialist
LGBT youth group , a
counselling service which adheres to BACP guidelines,
training to external organisations, and an innovative communications service. We also provide representation for LGBT communities on numerous working groups and strategic partnerships and provide an avenue to directly canvas the opinions of local LGBT people.
We love a good parade and are fully involved with
Celeb8MK - The Milton Keynes Diversity Parade every year.
We don’t run adult social groups, but we do promote groups that meet in the area. In addition, we can help local LGBT people to set up new groups, find somewhere to meet and signpost to other services that can provide funding, volunteers and help with promotion.

Sport & Physical Activity Alliance
The Sport & Physical Activity alliance provide a key voice to ensure the needs of the sports and physical activity community are enshrined within the future of the Milton Keynes Community, particularly in terms of the city’s growth. It raises the profile of sport and physical in Milton Keynes, providing a common sense of purpose and direction, advocating the engagement of further partners. Due to the Alliance’s early strategic positioning, the group is now recognized as the primary consultee for all matters related to sport and physical activity.

Strategic Environmental Partnership
The Partnership provides a focus for partnership work on sustainability issues, i.e. flooding, green space provision, Milton Keynes expansion, biodiversity, zero waste production, zero carbon growth, water conservation and pollution.

Milton Keynes police deals with reported crimes, reported incidents, road traffic collisions (fatal, serious and slight) and missing person reports, along with many other varied calls upon their services. Milton Keynes police use a 'Problem Solving' style of policing that aims to tackle the causes and not just the symptoms of crime by working in partnership with local communities and other agencies.
The aim is to put the “local” back into policing so that people in each neighbourhood know who their officers are and how to contact them. By introducing neighbourhood policing Thames Valley Police aims to have more visible policing, to work closely with neighbourhoods to tackle the issues that concern them, and, by doing so, reduce fear of crime.

Transport Partnership
The Partnership is responsible for providing strategic direction and policy development on transport matters, both urban and rural and in terms of external strategic links. The partnership comprises an executive with representatives from the Council, MKP, Parish Councils and the business community, a wider stakeholder group and three sub-groups covering sustainable transport, parking and infrastructure.
Younger People
Young people are represented on the LSP through the Youth Participation Team of Milton Keynes Council which promotes opportunities and supports young people who wish to get involved in decision-making. The meetings are usually attended by a young person with support from the Youth Participation Team Leader
