In addition to its legal duties of registering births, deaths and marriages, Milton Keynes Council's Registration Service offers a number of non-statutory civil ceremonies. These include:
- Baby naming ceremonies
- Commitment ceremonies (open to heterosexual or same sex couples)
- Renewal of vows ceremonies
These civil ceremonies are non-statutory and have no legal status, but they offer a means of celebration other than a religious ceremony.
The basic ceremony will be a set one - although there will be a choice of wording. Suggested selections of music, poetry and readings will be offered, although other choices may be made. A commemorative certificate will also be provided.
For further details, please contact The Register Office on (01908) 372101.
