The Milton Keynes Council Sports Development team will be running activities for young people during the summer holidays as part of the Change 4 Life Holiday Programme.

The Change 4 Life Holiday Programme begun in the Summer Holidays of 2009, with seven different sports in four areas of Milton Keynes. Thanks to its partners and dedicated clubs and coaches the holiday programme quickly grew in numbers and popularity. Since then the Holiday Programme has worked with over 2,000 young people, 50 clubs in over 20 different sports.
The programme would not have been such a success without its partners and funders, these include the Extended Services Team, Broughton and Middleton Parish Council, Asda Sporting Chance, Stantonbury Campus Leisure Centre, Oakgrove Leisure Centre, UK Athletics and Sherington Parish Council, with a special thanks to Aiming High who have funded all the disability sports sessions since February 2010.

YPGAG Funding
YPGAG is the Young People Get Active Grant. This is subsidy funding for children and young people who receive free school meals. The funding may be used to pay for sports activities during the holidays, or after school. To check eligibility contact your child’s school with details of what activities you would like. Please note that not all schools in Milton Keynes receive this funding and not all children on free school meals will be eligible. Your school will be able to provide you with this information. If you are eligible you can use your funding on any of the activities included in this programme. Just confirm with the school what you would like to do and we’ll check with them once we receive your booking form, just make sure you write ‘YPGAG’ somewhere on the form so we don’t chase you for payment.
Please note
Completing the booking form and payment constitutes a firm booking, you will only be contacted prior to sessions for cancellations / change of venue etc. If you would like to receive confirmation of your booking please contact 01908 253524.
Refunds will only be given if Sports Development cancel the session or participants give 7 working days cancellation notice.
