Population Estimates

Statistics - Population Bulletin 2009/10New 2009 population estimates have been released by the Office for National Statistics. They show that the Milton Keynes population was estimated to be 236,700 in 2009. These estimates will be used in the 2010/11 edition of the Population Bulletin due in the autumn of 2010.

The Population Bulletin provides a comprehensive update of demographic information for Milton Keynes. It contains information such as population projections by age, wards, parishes, and estates and settlements. It also contains information on ethnicity, household size and housing growth.

In doing so it has become a 'must-have' essential resource for anyone who wants to understand the fabric of Milton Keynes and the issues faced by communities in different parts of the city.


Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007

Statistics - Index of Deprivation MapThe Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 has been released. It outlines that 15 Lower Super Output Areas in Milton Keynes are within the 20% most deprived in England, this compares to 13 in 2004. Overall however, Milton Keynes rank improved from 204th most deprived to 212th between 2004 and 2007.
