Street Lighting

The Street Lighting Team is responsible for the maintenance of street lighting and manage a variety of functions associated with the highway in the Borough of Milton Keynes. The Team also provides a consultancy and design service to private developers Parish Councils and other community organisations.

Faulty lighting is repaired during the daytime, when all of the lights should be off.

Using the latest technology and working in partnership with the local Parish council, MKC has recently installed a new street lighting system in Netherfield that incorporates cutting edge technology. The project represents a major change in the way street lighting is designed and maintained and is one of the largest trial schemes of its type in the UK. Find out more
