Have we all turned Green?
We like to think we’re doing our bit to slow down global warming: 63% of Britons approve of the idea of a “green tax” on goods and services injurious to the environment, 92% say they recycle as much as possible, 75% say they use low energy light bulbs and 83% make sure not to leave the TV on standby (ICM/Guardian). But only 27% of us are willing to take fewer holidays abroad, and though 51% say they’d cut down on packaged goods, a mere 25% would be prepared to drive less. (YouGovt/Daily Telegraph)
