The Transport Vision and Strategy for Milton Keynes
In June 2011 Milton Keynes Council adopted the Transport Vision and Strategy for Milton Keynes. This document is also known as the Local Transport Plan 3 (LTP3). It sets out the Council’s transport aims, objectives and implementation strategy for the period 2011-2031.

A review of the Transport Vision and Strategy for Milton Keynes (LTP3)
When the Council adopted the Transport Vision and Strategy it made a commitment to carry out a targeted review within 12 months. The intention of the review is to capture more up-to-date information and to refresh selected elements of the document.
In addition to the review, a more comprehensive scheme appraisal and prioritisation process has also been developed. This will allow the Council to better target available funding towards transport schemes and proposals that deliver more of its objectives.
The next stage after completing the review was to consult on our proposals. These included:
- Allocation of available funding for transport improvements for 2012/13.
- Appraisal & Prioritisation of Transport Schemes and Projects.
- Integration of the Bletchley Transport Strategy Schemes within the LTP3 scheme list.
- The main transport performance indicators.
