It will both serve as a Development Control tool in assessing planning applications and will also provide clear direction to developers as to what the Council and Milton Keynes Partnership expect in terms

Central Milton Keynes Tall Buildings Strategy

The aim of the Central Milton Keynes Tall Buildings Strategy SPD (illustrated top left)is to outline where Tall Buildings will be deemed acceptable and be encouraged in CMK, design guidance on how to ensure exemplar quality is achieved and what needs to be accompanied as part of a planning application. The Strategy provides a set of criteria which inform the preferable locations for Tall Buildings and these are criteria are then evaluated in the CMK context. In this way the proposed locations for tall buildings have been based on a clear rationale.

Queensway Bletchley

Urban Design and Landscape - Ball A softer and lighter feel has been given to Bletchley's main shopping street. Kerbs have been reduced and edges curved and deliniated by balls. The ground plain has been given a more uniform treatment which picks out the road, pavements and trees with different paving materials. Overall it gives a pleasant and coherent ambience to the streetscene, which compliments work previously done on the nearby bandstand area.
