Before placing your order, please check where the event occurred as we are only able to provide copy certificates for events which occurred within the Milton Keynes registration district

Please note that not all areas with Milton Keynes in the address fall within the Milton Keynes registration district, so do check before placing your order.

If you are unsure of where the event occurred, the General Register Office will be able to undertake a more thorough search of records.

No refund will be given if we do not hold the register containing the entry.

Marriage and civil partnership certificates

All marriage and civil partnership certificates are issued by the Register Office in the registration district where the event took place, this is for all venue, register office and religious ceremonies in that district.

Please remember to check that the venue where your ceremony took place is actually within the Milton Keynes registration district as not all areas with Milton Keynes in their address or an MK postcode fall within our area.

Any copy certificates purchased for ceremonies which took place in a place of worship can only be issued once the schedule or marriage document has been returned to us after the ceremony has taken place.

Marriage or civil partnership certificates will not be available on the day that the wedding ceremony or civil partnership formation takes place.  These will be posted to you afterwards or, if you prefer, they can be collected from the Register Office.
