Coronavirus update - 1 December 2020
The Register Office at Civic is open for pre-booked appointments only, see below for more information regarding appointments currently available:
Please note: masks or face coverings MUST be worn by everyone attending our offices.
Birth registrations - Appointments are available to book online or by calling 01908 372101.
New parents can register their baby with a GP practice without a birth certificate.
Death registrations - All death registrations are now carried out via a telephone appointment. You still need to book an appointment, but you do not need to attend the register office in person. For more information and to book, see our death registration page for guidance.
Marriage and civil partnership ceremonies - ceremonies are able to go ahead with effect from 2 December with a maximum of 15 people, this includes the couple, their witnesses and guests. This maximum number may be reduced depending on the venue and the number of people who can be accommodated safely while social distancing guidelines are continued to be met. Notices - Notice appointments are still able to go ahead. You can book your notice appointment using our online booking system or by calling 01908 372101.
Citizenship ceremonies - citizenship ceremonies are currently able to proceed. Please see our citizenship pages for further information as to how to book.
Please note: if you are unwell or required to self-isolate, do not attend your appointment, call us on 01908 372101 so that we can reschedule your appointment.
