Children with Disabilities team

Sometimes parents and carers can face further challenges when a child has additional needs.

Whether it is something that has been known since birth or become apparent later on, parents often need extra support and help from many different places. What ever the child’s additional needs are, it is important that they can be included in a full range of activities and learning experiences.

We can provide support and information for parents/carers of children with additional needs regarding local support groups, childcare access and leisure facilities. You can use our Search for activities and childcare to find all inclusive activities and groups.  We can also signpost to other agencies/services that may be able to help with a particular situation. We work closely with the Children with Disabilities team to ensure that children have inclusive access to childcarers and leisure facilities across Milton Keynes.
