Welcome to Early Years Foundation Stage Workforce Development. This is the place to find out more information about early years training, courses and funding.

 Early Years Briefings

We are pleased to offer new Early Years briefings to Milton Keynes providers and schools.

The briefings will include local and national Early Years information. It will also provide an opportunity to hear updates from the wider MKC team including SEND, Looked After Children (LAC), EMA and the NHS.

Early Years Workforce Training

Level 3 entry requirements have changed;  GCSE English and maths now required on exit of the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.  This means you can now study for your GCSE’s alongside your Level 3 qualification.

Safeguarding Training :

Practitioners need to update their ‘Safeguarding Introduction Single-Agency’ training at least every 3 years.

Practitioners also need to repeat ‘Everybody’s Business’ training at least every 3 years:

The graduate-level Early Years Teacher programme is designed to raise standards across England's early years workforce. It is the only government-endorsed professional accreditation for the early years sector.
