The Music Hub aims to support schools through its work with Hub partners. The following partners can help in the following ways:

Professional Partner Scheme for instrumental teachers

Working in partnership with the MK Music Hub, instrumental teachers can apply to become a ‘Professional Partner’. Applying to become a partner is a commitment on the part of the teacher to develop themselves as a teacher and to offer high-quality teaching experiences for anyone they teach.

All ‘Professional Partners’ have checks on their DBS status, Public Liability and ongoing support to ensure that they have access to training and regular discussion about their practice.

MK Music Faculty

Through its ‘Totally Music’ programme the Music Faculty (part of Community Learning MK) provides strategic support to schools that wish to audit and develop its music education for pupils as well as projects that can be delivered by Faculty teachers.  The Music Faculty can provide ideas for developing a school’s singing strategy as well as opportunities for large-scale performances.

Schools may wish to celebrate their music education provision for pupils by applying for the Music Hub’s ‘Primary Schools Quality Music Mark’.
