Virtual School - a message from the headteacher

The Virtual School exists to monitor and support the academic progress of children and young people in the care of Milton Keynes*.

* From 1 September 2018, the Virtual School has a duty to promote the educational achievement of previously looked after children through the offer of advice to parents and educators.

Each year  the Virtual School Headteacher produces a report which explains the work of the Virtual School and the impact it is having on the outcomes of the  children and young people involved.  The report produced in November 2017 can be found below.

Virtual School annual report 2017

As a virtual school we seek to support children and young people both in school and through extra-curricular activities. We also offer a programme of support and training for Designated Teachers and foster carers. We are always keen to have feedback from schools, carers and young people about the services we offer and are more than happy to consider ideas for improving our services to young people.
