Summary

The Council is consulting on the following proposed parking, waiting and loading restrictions in Springfield:-

  • To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions along parts of Ravensbourne Place and Springfield Boulevard;
  • To introduce ‘No loading at any time’ restrictions along parts of Ravensbourne Place;
  • To introduce ‘No loading’ restrictions (from 8.00am to 10.00am and 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday) along parts of Ravensbourne Place;
  • To introduce one ambulance parking place along part of Ravensbourne Place;
  • To introduce two disabled persons parking places along parts of Ravensbourne Place.

The proposed restrictions comes following concerns raised over public safety which is caused by inconsiderate parking during school drop off and pick up times at Orchard Academy.

The proposed parking waiting restrictions will help create a safer environment throughout the road and encourage and facilitate safer pedestrian and cyclist movements.
