Summary

Milton Keynes Council is proposing to install a new Zebra Crossing and amend the parking and waiting restrictions along part of Countess Way.

The proposed amendments include the following:-

• To remove the existing school keep clear marking and replace with new

• To extend and amend the existing double yellow lines (‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions) along parts of Countess Way.

The proposals come as a result of road safety concerns which have been raised by the Eastern Expansion (EEA) group which includes local residents and councillors who have asked the Council to design and consult on a safer crossing near Brooklands Farm Primary school.

The proposed amendments to the parking and waiting restrictions will help to alleviate obstruction and enable a safer environment to be achieved throughout the road and encourage and facilitate vehicular movements.
