Statutory Consultation: Proposed 40mph speed restriction on A4146 (Part).

Summary

Milton Keynes Council is proposing to introduce a 40mph speed limit restriction on the following part of A4146:

  • From a point 85 metres south of its junction with Kelly’s Kitchen Roundabout, for a distance of 435 metres in a generally southerly direction.

The above proposal comes as a result of the Section 278 Agreement which includes the construction of a signalised junction on A4146 for the Barratt Homes Development.  The 40mph speed limit restriction will facilitate the new junction.

MK Council has prepared the proposed Order entitled “The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (A4146 (Part), Milton Keynes) (40 mph Speed Restriction) Order 2020”.

The traffic regulation Order is a legal document which allows the Highways Authority to restrict the highway which is enforceable by law.

MK Council is now formally consulting on the proposed traffic regulation Order and therefore invites you to formally comment on the proposals.

Statutory consultation on the above proposal will start on 26 March and conclude on 16 April 2020.

You can view the proposed Order, notice of proposal and statement of reasons on the left hand column of this webpage under the heading ‘documents’.

Any objections to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made can be sent by clicking on the above email address.   Please quote reference TRO-292.

The closing date for this consultation is 5pm 16 April 2020.
