Summary

Milton Keynes Council has now made the following named Traffic Regulation Order:

The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (Central Milton Keynes) (Elder Gate Station Multi-Storey Car Park) (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2020

The general effect of the Order will be to introduce a mixture of paid and free parking places at the car park for vehicles of gross weight and height not exceeding 2.5 tonnes and 2.1 meters respectively, with designated spaces for vehicles, as scheduled below. The car park will be operational at all times and each parking place will be marked out and clearly signed. Payment for parking can be made at a machine with coins or card, including contactless, or using the Council’s pay by mobile phone system:

The notice of proposal for the above Order was served on 18 June 2020.

During the 21-day statutory consultation period, the Council received no formal objections to the proposed Order.

The made Order will come into effect on 24 July 2020

Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
