Summary
Following an internal review these proposals are not being implemented and a further assessment is being made by the Head of Highways.

This consultation period has been extended until 29 October 2020.

Milton Keynes Council intends to make the following named Traffic Regulation Order:

The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Various Roads, Woburn Sands) (Consolidation of Parking and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2002) Variation Order 2020

The general effect of the Order will be to introduce the following restrictions in Woburn Sands:

  • 1-hour limited waiting between 8.00am to 6.00pm Mon to Sat, on the south-west side of Station Road between numbers 88 and 100;
  • No waiting at any time restrictions along parts of the north-east side of Station Road, the junction of Wood Street and Asplands Close and outside numbers 45 (part), 47 and 49 (part) of Theydon Avenue (opposite its junction with Lime Grove);
  • No loading or unloading at any time at the junction of Station Road and Downham Road.

The proposals will help improve visibility along the affected lengths of road, junctions and accesses for all road users.

The Council considers it expedient to make this Order:

  • to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic along the affected lengths of roads;
  • for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

The Council is now formally consulting on the proposed Order and a copy, together with plans showing the general arrangement of the restrictions along the affected lengths of road and a statement of reason for proposing the Order are attached to this webpage, or you may request a copy to be sent to you by contacting the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order team by email at TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk or you can call 01908 252353.

Any objections to the proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes Council, Synergy Park, Chesney Wold, Bleak Hall, Milton Keynes, MK6 1LY, or by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-302 and to be received no later than 29 October 2020.

The closing date for this consultation is 5pm on 29 October 2020.
