Milton Keynes Draft Health Impact Assessment Supplementary Planning Document 2020

Summary

Milton Keynes Council is consulting on a Draft Health Impact Assessment Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). Health Impact Assessment is a method of considering the positive and negative impacts of development on the health of the population, inorder to enhance the benefits and minimise any risks to health. The SPD will support policy EH6 in the Council’s Local Plan, Plan:MK adopted in March 2019. It will be considered as a material consideration in the determination of planning applications for residential development over 50 dwellings.

This consultation runs for eight weeks, beginning on Wednesday 5 August and representations on this SPD must be received before 5pm on Wednesday 30 September. Purpose

To engage the general public and other stakeholders in the preparation of planning guidance to assess the impact on health of new residential development proposals and to ensure that they have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the local population.
