Milton Keynes Council is formally consulting on the following proposed traffic regulation Order:

The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (Various Roads in Giffard Park, Grange Farm, Loughton, Monkston Park and New Bradwell, Grange Farm and Loughton) (Parking, Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Order 2015) Variation Order 2021

The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following parking and waiting restrictions in Loughton, Milton Keynes:

•    No waiting at any time restrictions along parts of Ashpole Furlong, Bradwell Road, Gurney Close, Homeward Court, Linceslade, London Road, The Meadway, Paynes Drive, Shenley Road, Specklands and Tresham Court.
•    No waiting between the hours of 8.00am and 9.00am and 3.00pm and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday along parts of Bradwell Road, Paynes Drive, and Tresham Court;
•    4 hours limited waiting within the public car parks situated on the junction of Paynes Drive, Bradwell Road and Ashpole Furlong;
•    Two disabled persons parking bays on Paynes Drive outside the school gates.
The proposed waiting restrictions come as a result of concerns about inconsiderate parking which is obstructing the flow of traffic and endangering highway users.
As the Highway Authority, Milton Keynes Council is satisfied that the introduction of the above restrictions will help alleviate obstruction and encourage a safer environment for all highway users including pedestrians and cyclists, and in particular children and the elderly.
Copies of the notice of proposal, proposed Order together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reasons, are available for inspection on the left-hand side of this webpage under the heading “Documents”

Any objections to the above proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team by email to quoting reference TRO-298.

The closing date for this consultation is 13 April 2021.

Please submit your comments before the closing date otherwise your comments may not be considered.
