Milton Keynes Council was awarded a Go Ultra Low City Status, one of four UK Cities and received funding from OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) to help continue roll of charging infrastructure to help support the uptake of electric vehicles.

The proposed alterations to parking come as a result of the continuous improvements being made to reduce carbon emissions in the Borough of Milton Keynes and will ensure equality for all users, encourage modal shift to more sustainable modes of transport and maintain economic vitality, all in line with the aims and objectives of the Councils Transport Strategy.

The Council considers it expedient to make this Order to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular traffic along the affected lengths of roads.

All signs on site will be in accordance with the current and any future version of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.

The Council will continue to monitor the way in which highway facilities are used and address any issues that come to its notice and following meaningful consultation with all stakeholders do what it considers necessary to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
