Statutory Consultation: Car Club Permit Parking Places.
Milton Keynes Council is formally consulting on the following proposed traffic regulation Order:
The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (Various Roads, Milton Keynes) (Car Club Permit Parking Places) Order 2021
The general effect of the Order will be to introduce the following designated car club permit parking places: -
C1 Car Club Permit Parking Places:
• Elder Gate, Central Milton Keynes (adjacent to Station Square) – 1 space
• Bradwell Road south-eastern car park, Loughton (adjacent to the existing electric vehicle parking place) – 1 space
C2 Car Club Permit Parking Places:
• Church Street, Wolverton (the existing electric vehicle charging unit) – 1 space
• Colindale Street, Monkston Park (the existing electric vehicle charging unit) 1 space
• Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes (outside CBX2, the existing electric vehicle charging unit) – 2 spaces
• Queensway, Bletchley (Outside number 45) – 1 space
The parking places will be operational at all times and will be marked out and clearly signed in accordance with Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The proposed alterations to parking come as a result of the continuous improvements being made to reduce carbon emissions in the Borough of Milton Keynes and will ensure equality for all users, encourage modal shift to more sustainable modes of transport and maintain economic vitality, all in line with the aims and objectives of the Council's Transport Strategy.
The Council considers it expedient to make this Order to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular traffic along the affected lengths of roads.
The Council will continue to monitor the way in which highway facilities are used and address any issues that come to its notice and following meaningful consultation with all stakeholders do what it considers necessary to facilitate the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Any objections to the above proposals, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team by email to TROteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk quoting reference TRO-323.
The closing date for this consultation is 5 pm on 28 October 2021.
