Reduce energy bills and carbon dioxide emissions.
The CAPE project complements the sustainability aims of MK Council and builds on the work of the MK:Smart Programme.
The CAPE project uses satellite imagery to provide citizens with unique data sets to inspire sustainable energy choices. Links to organisations that supply these low carbon solutions are also available on the CAPE website.
The data is free to use on line and the site provides assistance with organising community energy schemes for insulation, solar panels and competitively priced energy products and services.
The project is a partnership between the Council, SmartKlub, Community Action:MK, Satellite Applications Catapult, Tech Mahindra and the Open University. The Innovate funding to establish the project was provided by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.
