What's it all about?

Young people from across Milton Keynes working to give a voice to all young people. We are holding Milton Keynes wide elections for new members.


Monthly meeting on a Saturday approx. 10-4:30pm in Central Milton Keynes; getting an insight into your constituent's concerns to make the lives of young people in Milton Keynes better. Also meetings to: talk with your constituents, organise and run campaigns; meeting with decision makers; and attend residentials, conferences and lots more.

About the UK Youth Parliament

It is a group of young people from across the UK, giving a voice nationally about issues that affect them. The UKYP run national campaigns on issues such as Sex and Relationships, Education, Concessionary Travel and University Fees to make real social change.

UKYP reps for Milton Keynes will stand for election across Milton Keynes. The candidates with the most votes are elected as MYPs

The Election Process

You will stand in the North, South or Central Constituencies for the Youth Cabinet elections. For UKYP elections you will stand across the whole of Milton Keynes.

Constituencies are likely to be based on which school/college you attend. Your manifesto (which is steps 2 and 3) will be available to voters through schools/college campus via a paper ballot. Each constituency will have a week of elections during the period from 2nd - 27th February 2015. Results will be announced at the Elections Results Night on 6th March 2015 at the Civic Offices.
