Bay Suspensions and Road Closures

Here you will find a list of suspensions and road closures taking place in Central Milton Keynes and other areas within the Borough of Milton Keynes that may cause disruption to normal day to day parking.  

The bays in which you may usually park will be suspended, and as a result you will have to park in other locations.

YMCA Second Phase

A total of 91 bays will be suspended from March 2020 until April 2022.

Avebury Boulevard adjacent South Fifth Street

A total of 28 bays on Avebury Boulevard adjacent South Fifth Street on the north side of the dual carriageway will be suspended from 06/01/2020 until 01/03/2022 for building works. Access will be allowed for vehicles owned by contractors and subcontractors coming in and out of the suspended bays.

Avebury Boulevard and Lower Second Street Suspension

A total of 38 bays will be suspended to allow for the development of a new Premier Inn on Avebury Boulevard until 20/04/2020. Access will be allowed for vehicles owned by contractors and subcontractors coming in and out of the suspended bays. Please see map for location. (PDF, 156KB)

Grafton Gate East Suspension

A total of 47 bays to allow for the construction of apartments from 04/01/2019 until 08/03/2020.

Temporary Road Closure Avebury Boulevard

The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes intends to make the attached Order (PDF, 471KB) on 10 December 2018 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on Avebury Boulevard (its North-West vehicular access way) between Grafton Gate and the access road leading onto Avebury Boulevard, opposite South Second Street.

This is to allow works to develop a new hotel and this temporary Order will remain in place for a period of 18 months. This will take effect at times only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
