Milton Keynes City Council operate a housing register to allocate affordable social housing. The demand for affordable housing exceeds availability, our housing allocations scheme prioritises applicants so properties that become available are offered fairly, transparently and in an effective way. The scheme prioritises applicants who are most in need and makes the best use of the homes available to let. Those who are eligible and have a qualifying housing need to be on the housing register are awarded a priority based on their level of housing need. Once you are shortlisted for a property this could be either council owned stock or a Housing Association property in accordance with our nomination's agreement.
