Regeneration in Fullers Slade

The Fullers Slade Regeneration Timeline (PDF, 373KB) details the activities to be undertaken to ensure the process is resident led.  The first step has already been achieved, with an assessment of the area and engagement within the community begun.

The next step is to develop and evaluate the options. Following the Housing Needs Assessment (PDF, 1MB) survey, a design drop-in session also took place on 23rd and 24th November at Galley Hill Primary School.  At the event, the following design boards (PDF, 14MB), produced by SEH (the architects) and Milton Keynes Council, were shared with the residents.

July 2019 - Fullers Slade Design Boards

November 2018 - Fullers Slade Design Boards (PDF, 14MB)

February 2019 - Fullers Slade Design Boards (PDF, 45.8MB)

Repairs and Maintenance Programme

Some council homes in Fullers Slade are currently having work done to their kitchens and bathrooms. We know there is some confusion about why this work is being carried out when within a regeneration area.

The Council is committed to investing in all regeneration areas but also treat all council homes across the city in the same manner. This is why work is currently being undertaken to upgrade certain components which require replacement.

The regeneration activity on Fullers Slade is unaffected by the ongoing refurbishment works. The outcome of the regeneration programme will depend on what approaches are viable, and from this, what the community vote for later this year. We believe that until the preferred option is chosen and delivered, council homes should benefit from the council’s significant planned investment programme and day to day repairs service to the same extent as properties on other estates.

Fullers Slade Resident Steering Group (FSRSG)

The Fullers Slade Resident Steering Group (FSRSG) comprises of a minimum of 12 residents, maximum 20 with no fewer than two residents per street and representation from each tenure (private, council & homeowner). An introduction to the FSRSG can be found on the following pages.
