Future Management of Leisure and Community Facilities

Milton Keynes residents and stakeholders are being asked to play their part in helping to shape how services at popular local sport and leisure facilities will be managed in future.

The facilities under consideration are: Windmill Hill Golf Centre, Woughton Leisure Centre, Woughton on the Green Sports Pavilion, Broughton Community Sports Pavilion and Brooklands Community Sports Pavilion.

The council held a series of meetings for the public to learn more about the proposals.  Question and answers from these sessions can be found under 'Documents' on the left of this page.

Currently, nearly all (98%) of the council’s leisure and community facilities are run on a partnership basis working with people from the voluntary, public, and the commercial sectors.  Paul Sanders, MKC’s Assistant Director, Community Facilities, said:

“We are very proud of our sporting and leisure facilities in Milton Keynes – but we couldn’t make them work as well as we do without strong partnership working with the local communities that use them.

"We would encourage as many people as possible to attend these kinds of public meetings."
