During October and November, 39 enquiries were received, with the team continuing to promote MK through multiple channel and partners. Our current enquiry case load is 34 Category “A”  and 58 Category “B” enquiries. (Category ‘A’ covers enquiries from UKTI and foreign owned businesses; land enquiries; industrial premises over 50k sq. ft; office premises over 10k sq. ft and key business sectors.  Category ‘B’ enquiries cover all other requests for support.). For the year to date the team have received 160 enquiries.

In October we attended MIPIM 2017 alongside colleagues from other authorities within SEMLEP to promote the Oxford-Milton Keynes-Cambridge Growth Corridor.  This was the first time that authorities in SEMLEP have come together to raise awareness of the Corridor and its economic growth potential.  We also joined our colleagues from the Planning Service at the Homes 2017 Event at Olympia, promoting MK and its development opportunities to residential developers and property professionals. The event brings together professionals who are leading the development of homes and asset management. MKC was the first local authority to take an exhibition stand and promote placemaking in MK. This new approach proved popular with exhibitors and delegates as an innovative way to reach out to new partners. Over 100 delegates visited the Milton Keynes stand.

We were invited to Chancerygate Business Centre for a tour of their phase 2 development. Chancerygate is one of the UK's leading industrial and warehouse development businesses.  Ranging from 1,905 -9,956 sq. ft, the phase 2 development will see 15 additional industrial and trade units built. The development is due to be completed in March 2018.
