Inward Investment & Business Engagement


This month we have worked with 4 businesses regarding their growth and expansion plans in Milton Keynes. 


March saw 19 enquiries come into Milton Keynes with 7 enquiries coming from foreign businesses, it’s great to see that Milton Keynes attracting international attention as the place to do business.


Business Delegation


We hosted a delegation of 26 CEO’s from innovative digital and technology businesses from Chandigarh, India which was led by the Deputy High Commissioner Andrew Ayre. The delegation received a warm welcome from our Leader Peter Marland and then received presentations about Milton Keynes from Pam Gosal, Head of Economy and Culture as well as an overview of SEMLEP from Hilary Chipping, CEO of SEMLEP.  This then was followed by MK Businesses joining the delegation for a positive networking lunch at PWC Milton Keynes.  The day was ended with a visit to the Transport Systems Catapult and Niftylift HQ.  The visit was a great success with many synergies formed, collaboration and partnership introductions that will be taken further.

Annual Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards


The Annual Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards took place in March, Milton Keynes Council, Invest Milton Keynes were headline sponsors of the event which celebrates the passion and diversity of the Milton Keynes Business Community. Renowned technology business Integral Powertrain took the top prize of business of the year. Congratulations to all the winners.

Businesses 2 Business Procurement


We were delighted to appoint Jane Horridge to work with us on our Businesses 2 Business Procurement project. The Project will work with a number of small and micro businesses by providing a health check and identifying areas of improvement that are required in order for them to be “fit to supply”. The Project will also work with large SME's and large businesses to promote procurement strategies, benefits and opportunities with having better supplier diversity , and bring together both groups  to develop linkages for future procurement opportunities. Welcome aboard Jane!
